Essex Newsman Saturday 30 July 1892. Will of the late Mr Charles Turner. Leaving personalty of the gross value of £41,859 2s. 3d., and of the net value of £39,753 8s., the late Mr. Charles Turner, of 115 Westbourne Terrace, appointed as executors of his will Mr.W. H. Luard Pattisson, of Writtle, and Mr. A. Cooper, to each of whom, for the executorship, he bequeathed £100: to Mr. Pattisson further £200 to his son, Mr.W. H. Pattisson, £100 : to Mrs. Pattisson a diamond ring; to servants £115: to Miss Clara Palmer £500 & to H. Honvwood Bennett, son of Mr. H Curtis Bennett, £100; to the testator's godson Alfred Tabor, £100; to Florence Roofer £100, to Charles Gee, of the London Joint Stock Bank, £500; to Marianne Isaacson Gee £2,500 and the lease of the house 23 Delamere Terrace; and to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals £100. The residue of Mr Turner's property is to be divided into as many shares as the number of his nephews and nieces the children of his late brother Henry and his sisters, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Moreland and he leaves one share upon trusts for Mrs Elizabeth Ann Scutts and her children; one share upon trusts for Mr. Robert Freeman and his daughter Arabella; and the remainder in equal shares for his other nephews and nieces.
