[Border Watch, Mount Gambier, SA Friday 18 July 1919. The marriage of Miss Lydia Rokesky, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. H. A. Rokesky, of Harriet Street, Horsham, to Mr. Frank Scutt, of Mount Gambier, S.A., late sergeant in the A.I.F., will take, place to-day at the Horsham Methodist Church - "Horsham Times."] [The Horsham Times Friday 8 August 1919 Social. At the Horsham Methodist Church on 18th July the Rev. F. B. Oldham celebrated their marriage of ex-Sergeant F. O. Scutt, son of Mr. & Mrs. Scutt, of Mount Gambier, and Miss Lila Rokesky, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. H. A. Rokesky, of "Karnak," Harriet Street, Horsham. The bride, who was given away by her father; looked pretty, in a gown of whitecrepe de chine, her veil was arranged mop cap fashion, with a wreath of orange blossom, and she carried a posy of white: flowers and fern. Miss Louie Rokesky; sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and was attired in a frock of pale pink georgette and crepe de chine, with mop cap to match, and carried a posy bouquet. The little flower girl, Phyllis Ampt, (niece of bride) looked sweet in black silk with touches of pinkand green with bonnet to match. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Albert Ampt. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a silver tea service - the bride to bridegroom; a gold curb watchchain; bridegroom to bridesmaid a heavy-weight silk scarf to flower girlgold curb bangle: After the ceremony the wedding party adjourned to Slavin's cafe, where the wedding breakfast was held. Mr. & Mrs Scutt subsequently journeyed to Adelaide to spend the honeymoon the bride travelling in a navy blue costume and emerald green pedal straw hat. [The Horsham Times (Vic.: 1882-1954) Tuesday 9 September 1919 p5 Article. Obituary - Mrs. Margaret Rokesky, who passed away at her residence in Harriet Street, Horsham, at 4 p.m. on 2nd inst., after a painful illness extending over six months, as previously stated in these columns, was the wife of Mr. Herman A.Rokesby, and only daughter of the late Mr. W. Thompson, of Wonwondah, & Mrs. Bedwell, of Telangatuk. She was born at Melbourne and came to Woowondah when a little girl with her parents and lived there until about 17 years of age, ,when her mother married again to Mr. Edward Plarker Bedwell, son of Captain Bedwell, England. She selected land at Telungatuk, and after living there for three years married Mr. H. A. Rokesky, of Clear Lake, and lived 21 years, there, removing to Norton Creek, Horsham. She resided there for three years, and then removed to Lake Karnak, living there for 15 years, when illness set in, and she removed to Horsham to retire. Dr. Felstead was in attendance, also Dr. Black, who did all that was possible, but found the case hopeless. The deceased lady, who was 60 years of age, was loved by all who knew her for her most kind disposition, and much sympathy is extended to the bereaved husband and children - Mrs.G.Higgins (Sydney), Mrs. W. Furniss (Sydney), Mrs. A. Ampt (Gymbowen), Mrs. F. O. Scutt (Mount Gambier), Clare, Lizzie, Louie and Henry. The funeral took place at 2 p.m on Thursday, 4th interest. The Rev. F. B. Oldlham conducted the service at the graveside. The pall-bearers were Messrs. T. Buffham, I. Hobbs, E.Koenig, A. A.Koenig, G. Menzel, and W. Ampt. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Messrs.
