Edward s service number begins DJX which indicates that he was stationed at Devonport, Plymouth.] [Hull Daily Mail, Thursday 18 July 1946 East Riding of Yorkshire. GOOLE DIVORCE DECREE. A decree nisi was granted by Mr Justice Byrne in the Divorce Court today to P-O Edward Scutt, of Colonel's Walk, Goole, on the ground of the adultery of Mrs Gladys Irene Scutt with the co-respondent, John Lawrence. The suit was not defended. Evidence was given by P-O Scutt and his wife's mother, Mrs Edith Ellen Wood, of Torquay.] [Hull Daily Mail, Tuesday 17 September 1946 East Riding of Yorkshire. DECREES ABSOLUTE. Mr Justice Byrne, in the Divorce Court today, made absolute 2,156 decrees nisi in matrimonial causes, including those to: Robert Dinsdale, granted on February 28, 1946, whose address was then given as Willerby Road, Hull, and Edward Scutt, granted on July 18, 1946, whose address was then given as Colonels Walk, Goole.]
