B S - baseborn. Bedford & Redford as first name also noted. Sussex Advertiser, East Sussex, Monday 02 March 1835. An Adjourned Session, for the trial of prisoners only, was holden at our County Hall, on Wednesday last, which there were about twenty magistrates present, Mr. Serjt. D' Oyly sat as Chairman one Court, and Wm. Seymour, Esq., presided the second Court. There were 29 cases on the calendar, which were disposed of as follow, viz.: George Scutt, 29, for stealing a quantity of oil cake and a quantity of oats, the property his master, Thomas Bannerman Grainger - Six months to hard labour.
