Notes [Post Office: Solicitor's Department Post 74/253. Skutt, T.F. - Sorter, General Post Office, Lombard Street (Inland Office). Theft of gold coins from letters; tried. Date:1774.] [Parish of St. Mary Woolnorth. Transportation for seven years - Timothy Featherstone Scutt. 1774 living in Walbrook, London. Both Scutt & Skutt noted. Acquitted. He was a second time indicted for stealing a quarter of a guinea out of one of the forementioned letters. The evidence was nearly the same as on the former trial: he was found guilty of this indictment, for which he received sentence to be transported - 7yr.]
