[individual notes]

[Salisbury & Winchester Journal, Wiltshire, Monday 22 October 1832. Dorset Michaelmas Sessions. In commenting on the various cases which would be brought before the jury, the Chairman mentioned a very curious one that of a gentleman named Gray of Sherborne who, having detected a boy throwing stones at his walnut-tree, caught him, tied him down, and drew one of his teeth by way of punishment. On Wednesday another court was opened, over which D. O. P, Okeden, Esq., presided.] [3 months: John Kent, for stealing a snuff-box, Stalbridge; Thos. Skutt, for stealing a duck at Wimborne Minster (and once privately whipped.)]
