Notes [Fri 07 Jun 1872, Western Daily Press, Bristol. Mrs Breach, the wife of Mr Jas. Breach, of Lacock, farmer, was summoned Ann Scutts, dairymaid, late in their employ, for an alleged breach of contract. It appears that complainant agreed to enter the service of defendant for 12 months, from 6th April last, wages £11. She soon complained that, having to get up by four the morning, she wanted her breakfast before nine, but it was replied that she might have had it by half past seven she had worked well. Dismissed - Ann Scutts the above complainant, was summoned by Mrs Breach, the defendant, for leaving her service without consent.
