Death

Notes Fred Carrington Ordish was a commercial clerk in the railway business, married to Ann(e) Fa(u)lkner from Scotland. They were living in Clerkenwell, London on 14 April 1881 when their son Alan Wilfred Carrington Ordish was born. Unfortunately, Anne died in childbirth. Fred could not cope with bringing his son up alone, so arranged for him to be looked after between the ages of 8 and 14 in Wagoners Wells, Surrey. Fred wanted Alan to become an Estate Agent's apprentice, but Alan lied about his age and joined the Royal Marines as a gunner, serving on the "Resolution" in Gibraltar at the time of the 1901 census.Alan married Flora Scutt b:1883 Gravesend,Kent, resulting in three children: Dolly, Violet and Alan. Dolly b:c1907 married Ron Munford b: c1905 and had two children: a son who died very soon after birth, and a daughter called Ann. Violet married Harold Eades and had two children: Julia and Geoffrey. Alan junior married Joan Everest and had two children: Dawn and (unsurprisingly) Alan.
