White, of Gainsborough Avenue, Adel, and the late Mr. White, and Mr. John Herbert Sumerling, elder son Lieut.-Colonel and Mrs. H. O. Sumerling, of Churchwood Avenue, Far Headingley. The Rev. J. Wylie officiated. The bride, who was given away her uncle, Mr. Cyril White, was attended by her sister, Mrs. Monica Scutt. Mr. Michael D. Sumerling was best man and Mr. John Hampshire and Mr. Gerry Scutt were groomsmen.
