Note QUIMBY HOWLAND Members of the Glenelg Girl Comrades, of which the bride had been a member for a number of years, decorated the Methodist Church Glenelg with pink and white flowers for the marriage on April 11 of Frances A.... elder daughter of Mrs. L.M. Howland of Da Costa Park, and the late Mr. A.S. Rowland, with Cpl. Ralph Quimby (AMF) only son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Quimby of Brighton. The Rev. A.T. Strange officiated. A pale delphinium blue light weight woollen afternoon frock was worn by the bride, who was given away by her grandfather Mr. F.A. Scutt. Misses Elva Howland (bride's sister) and Gwen Quimby (bridegroom's sister) were bridesmaids in dusky pink light weight woollen afternoon frocks. Mr. Eugene Crook was best man and Sgt. Lance Howland (brides brother) groomsman.
