Notes [M A S - 3yr., resident of Goole.] [Fri 14 Oct 1881, Hull Packet, East Riding of Yorkshire. Goole. Fatal Accident - Mary Ann Scutt, nearly four years old, daughter of a dock labourer, named William Scutt, died at Swinefleet on Wednesday from the results of injuries received on the previous day, when, in crossing the road to meet her father, she was knocked down by two horses drawing a waggon belonging to Captain Thompson, of Goole Fields, the wheels passing over her body. She was taken up, and her injuries were attended to by Mr Miggins, surgeon. She lingered until Wednesday morning, when she expired.]
