Fri 23 May 1930, Hull Daily Mail, East Riding of Yorkshire. Owston Ferry - On Thursday a pretty wedding was solemnized in the Parish Church by the Rev J. Newby. The contracting parties were G. Scutt and Miss D. Kendall, bride, who was attired in navy, was given away by her brother, Mr Theo Kendall. Mr Alfred Scutt, cousin of the bridegroom acted as groomsman. The bridesmaids (Misses E. Kendall and Mabel Scutt) wore pretty costumes of grey and pink respectively. The bride's bouquet consisted of tulips and narcissi, and the bridesmaids of tulips. |

Scutt, Linda suddenly but peacefully, on 6th March 2018, Linda, aged 82 years. Beloved wife of the late Vincent, dearly loved mum of Ann, Wendy & Helen, dear mother in law of Daryl, Rick & Terry, much loved grandma of Sarah, Leanna, Andrew, Dean, Debra, Zak, Kane, Megan, Cory, Talia and the late Ben, also a loving great grandma, and a dear sister of Hubert. St Mark's Church, Amcotts on Wednesday 21st March for service at 11am followed by committal at Woodlands Crematorium. |
Both Mabel and Edwin are buried in Epworth Cemetery. Their gravestone reads - "To the memory of a devoted wife & mother Mabel Annie Hill died 7 March 1977 aged 64 years also a dear husband & father Edwin Hill died 10 February 1994, aged 87 years. Dear grandparents." |
