Goole, before Mr. Creyke, M.P., and other magistrate, Marmaduke Scutt, labourer, Reedness, was summoned by Wm. Ireland, landowner, Reedness, for using a dog and a gun for the purpose of killing game. Mr. Wm. Everatt, Goole, prosecuted. Mr. Ireland had the right of shooting on land belonging to Mr. Hemingway at Reedness, and on the 1st inst. defendant was seen ranging the fields. Mr. Ireland stated that he had received a communication from the defendant stating that if witness did not employ him, he would kill every hare and partridge on his land.
