Norman Scutt ca 1910-1923

The death took place on Tuesday morning, under circumstances, after few days illness from croup, of Master Scutt, aged 12, youngest son of Mr. & Mrs J. Scutt, Elm Tree Farm, Eastrington. The deceased, a bright and promising boy, attended the Council School up to Wednesday morning last week, and his illness (throat affection), rapidly developed into so malignant a form that an immediate operation was deemed necessary, and this was successfully performed on Saturday by Drs. Wigglesworth (Howden) and Askew (Holme-on-Spalding-Moor.) In spite of every care, including the services of a trained nurse, the patient's condition, however, gradually grew worse, and he passed away as stated. The sympathy of a wide district goes out to Mr & Mrs Scutt and family in their sad and sudden bereavement.
