1.He was bound as an apprentice to Henry Juett of Poplar on June 13, 1876. He gained his freedom on completion of his apprenticeship on August 9, 1881. 2.In the 1881 census he lived at 11 Goat Street, Bermondsey, with his profession shown as Lighterman. His son Henry was aged 5 months. 3.Died December 1, 1909 at Guy's Hospital London, recorded as an Accidental Death as a result of a fall from a barge on November 24, 1909. At the time of his death he lived at 133 Abbey Street, Bermondsey. 5.On the Marriage Certificate, he lived in Blackman Street, Newington and his profession was Lighterman. 6.The birth certificate of his son Victor (1892) gives his address as 65 Queen Elizabeth Street, Horselydown, Southwark and his profession as Lighterman Journeyman. E P - 52yr., died in Guy's Hospital as a result of a fall from a barge on 1909 Nov 24.
