The police wish to communicate with any person who witnessed a collision between a motor cycle and a motor car in Brougham Place, Lower North Adelaide, on Friday, when Stanley Roy Scutt, 19, labourer, of Buller Street, Prospect, received fatal injuries. Any person who saw the accident is asked to get in touch with Plain clothes Constable M. A. Daly at Police Headquarters. An inquest into the youth's death will be held on a date to be fixed.] [DEATH of MOTORCYCLIST An open finding was recorded by the deputy coroner (Mr. W. F. J. McCann) at an inquest yesterday into the death of Stanley Royce Scutt, laborer 19, of Buller Street, Prospect, who was killed in an accident at the intersection of Mackinnon Parade and Frome Road, Lower North Adelaide, on December 1. It was found that Scutt died at the Royal Adelaide Hospital from severe head injuries, received when a collision occurred between his motor cycle and a motor car driven by Roy John McDougall, traveller, of Brigalow Avenue, Kensington Gardens. McDougail, giving evidence, said that when he was approaching the intersection he sounded his horn and looked both ways. Glancing to the right a second time, he saw a motor cycle travelling in the centre of the roadway at about 35 to 40 m.p.h. The rider, who had his head down, made no effort to change his direction" or use his brakes. Witness applied his own brakes, and there was a collision. Mr. L. J. Stanley appeared for relatives of the deceased, Mr. E. Millhouse for the driver of the car, and Mr. F. E. Piper for an insurance company. Plainclothes Constable M. A.
