Notes
[Saturday 26 August 1882, Surrey Mirror, Surrey. Horsham. An Upset - On Saturday evening party of cricketers were returning from Jolesfield Common to Horsham, and when about to turn corner at Cripplegate they were run into by a pony and cart, driven by a man named Scutt. The cricketers drag being the heaviest vehicle naturally stood the shock the best, but the shaft of Scutt's cart was broken off, and the horse bolted, while a quantity of groceries were thrown into the road. These were soon picked up, and having recovered his horse Scutt proceeded to his destination - Southwater - as well as he could.] [R S - 34yr.]
