Notes Sussex Advertiser, East Sussex, Monday 14 September 1840. NEWICK, near Lewes. By Verrall & Son, At the Bull Inn, Newick, on Thursday, the 17th day of September 1840, at 7 o'clock in the evening precisely, in one Lot, Two recently built Dwelling Houses, divided into two Tenements, with Gardens behind the same, in the respective occupations of Thomas Hart, Thomas Bates, Henry Miles, and William Scutt, situate near the Chapel, and adjoining the Turnpike Road in the pleasant and improving village of Newick. The above Premises are Copyhold of the Manor of Aldington, and are subject to a yearly quit rent of 6d., and a fine and heriot of 6d. certain on death or alienation. The property will be sold subject to such conditions as will produced at the time of sale, and further particulars may obtained by applying Mr. Thomas Hart, on the premises, to Mr. T. King, Solicitor, 35 West Street, Brighton.
