A Saturday afternoon, July 24, a pretty wedding was celebrated in St. Cyprian's Church, Narrabri; when Miss Mona May Scutt, eldest daughter of Mr. John J. Scutt, of Narrabri West, was united to Mr. George Comber, son of Mr. James Comber, of Narrabri. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dress of ivory crepe de chene and georgette with bead trimmings and the customary wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a handsome bouquet of frezias and sweet peas. The bride's sister, Miss Ivy Scutt acted as bridesmaid, and wore a dress of cream voile, embroidered with pink and blue, an aeroplane hat with pink trimmings; and a bouquet of pink frezias, stocks and sweet peas. Mr. Herb. Raker (late A.I.F.), discharged the duties of best man. The Rev. Canon Villiers Reid performed the ceremony. A reception was held afterwards at the residence of the parents of the bride. The happy couple left, by the evening train for Sydney, where the first portion of the honeymoon will be spent. The bride's travelling costume was navy blue serge with French grey and saxe blue velvet hat, relieved with hand-made posies.
