"We are in the presence of degradation which is a disgrace to the country," said Mr Justice Rowlatt the Sussex Assizes, Lewes, today, when Gilbert Weston (54), dairyman, pleaded "Guilty" to an offence against a girl aged 12 years of age at Findon, near Worthing, and was sentenced two years hard labour. Alfred Scutt, 44, carter, the father of the girl, pleaded "Guilty" to aiding and abetting Weston in committing the offence, and was sentenced to twenty months hard labour.] [A G S 50yr. (4 years deviation!)]
