A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Lawrence's Church of England, Barraba, on Monday, May 14, by the Rev. Canon Coates,when Mary Elizabeth (Mollie), youngest daughter of Mr. & Mrs. J Scutt, of Barraba, and late of Narrabri, was married to William Cedric Vincent, only son of Mr. & Mrs.William Havilah of Bonnie View, Alstonville. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of white bridal satin, cut with deep train and cowl neck, and sleeves of chantillv lace. Her honiton lace veil and halo of orange blossoms were lent by Mrs. R. Scutt, her sister-in-law. She also carried a sheaf of pink carnations and Cecil Brunei roses. The bridesmaids, Miss Ivy Scutt, sister of the bride, and Miss Iris Havilah, sister of the bridegroom, wore Paton pink cotelle frocks, with toques of the same material, and black eye veils. They also carried sheafs of pink roses and carnations. Mr. J (Tec.) Thompson,of Kyogle, was best man, and Mr. A Scutt, of Cooma, groomsman. During the signing of the register "My Prayer" was rendered by Mrs. Reg Scutt. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Mechanics Hall, where the bride's mother, attired in black marocain, assisted by the bride groom's mother, who wore black and white crepe de chine, with hat and shoes to tone, received the guests. The bride's travelling frock was of blue wool crepe de chine, trimmed with white windswept crepe, and blue velour hat. The honeymoon was spent in Sydney and the Mountains. The future home of the married couple will be at Armidale.]
