The Advertiser (Adelaide Friday 4 December 1903) - Hugh John Scudds, a youth, admitted having assaulted Matilda Chapman at Woodbury on September. The prosecutrix had been roughly handled, but she did not appear to have sustained permanent injuries. The conduct of the prisoner had been cowardly, and he must be punished.
