[Western Daily Press Saturday 05 July 1941. Bristol Woman Motorist Fined. Mrs Viola Jean Scutts, wife of Mr H. Scutts, St. Vincent's Rocks Hotel, Clifton, Bristol, who was severely injured in road accident in Weston-super-Mare on Sunday May 11, when the car she was driving was involved in a collision with a motor lorry, was fined £2 at Weston-super-Mare Petty Session yesterday of driving the car without due care and attention, with £4 10s expenses and 10s for having no driving licence. The accident occurred at the junction of Drove Road and Amberery Road.] [Bath Chronicle and Weekly Gazette, Saturday 16 December 1950. Thrown 20ft. in Smash Bath man unhurt. One person was injured and another thrown almost 20 feet over a stone wall in an accident Monday at the bottom of Saltford Hill, involving private car and two lorries. Mrs. Viola Jean Scutts, 449 Bath Road, Saltford was driving her car down Saltford Hill when it skidded and turned round. A lorry, owned by Messrs. G. V. Williams, Ltd. of Windsor Bridge Road, Bath and driven by Mr. Donald Leslie Burbidge, of 2 Caroline Buildings, Bath coming the other way, came into collision with still moving car.
