1 (George Edward Scutt 1916-ca 1982)

George Edward Scutt, served on HMS Gloucester during WW2, but was taken off the ship just before it sunk, in May 1941. Instead, he was based in Alexandria on shore-based work, just a few weeks before the ship was sunk.

1-1 (Ellen Waller 1913-1991)

Ellen Waller married Hughie Guest sometime around the beginnning of the Second World War. He was in the Royal Navy, but was killed on board ship. His best friend was George Edward Scutt who eventually married Ellen Guest.
