The death took place on Sunday, after a long illness of Mr Frank Scutt, who passed away at residence 46 Oakfield Road, Clifton. Mr Scutt had formerly been a well known figure in the building trade, especially in the district around the old County Ground but had retired from active business life for some 20 years. He leaves a wife and one daughter, his only son, Wilfred having made the great sacrifice in France in 1917. The funeral took place at Canford Cemetery where the Rev. Canon Haigh officiated, and the mourners were: Messrs C. E. Scutt, F G. Scutt, and F. H. Higgs (nephews), Messrs T. Stennard, A. Gibson, T. R. Phillips, E. A. Pockson, E. Morris, E. O. Parsons, R. G. David, J. Jaques, I. Recce, and F. Withers. An old friend, Mr S. C. Cox ( Western Daily Press, London) was unable to be present. There were many beautiful flowers. The arrangements were under the personal direction of George Pakeman, 111 White Ladies Road.]
